About Us

Sri Veda Vidya Peetham (SVVP) was established to ful ll the social needs of Bay Area Indian community in terms of promoting Sanatana Dharma and development of Vedic education so our kids and future generations can grow spiritually and culturally. To ful ll the institution objectives, the management is making elaborate plans for a permanent structure for our beloved Abhaya Anjaneya and other deities in our temple. We are trying to reach out to all of our devotees from the community to build Seed money (Corpus fund) to enable building a permanent structure.

A HUMBLE UPDATE FROM SVVP President

Sri Gurave Namha.

Dear All,

Wishing you a warm greetings for the new year.

With blessings from Brahma Shri Pt. Chintapalli Venkateshwara Sarma Guruvu garu, the rst year of taking responsibility of presidency is lled with gratitude and pride. I was initially hesitant to take this responsibility due to pressures at my work. However, today I am glad to have been blessed with this opportunity as this, serving at a Vedic Temple, is the best thing that happened to me in my entire life. This has given me immense positive strength in my life which also re ected in my work front, I was recognized well and always on top of things and was awarded best at work. With Guruji’s blessings and his able guidance we are slowly progressing spiritually and culturally.

The year 2020 has been incredibly challenging due to COVID-19 restrictions. Thank you for your generous donations and continuous support. Your donations are helping us run the temple’s daily poojas and divine services for god and goddesses. We were also able to form good volunteer teams to help us organize temple activities

In the education front, we were able to promote Sanathana Dharma by conducting classes to adults & children in Vedas, Stotras and Vedic traditions. In 2020 many students enrolled to study Yajur Vedam, Vishnu Sahasra Namam and Soundarya Lahari under able guidance of Pundit Venkateshwara Sarma garu. We hope to continue this tradition and promote our culture in a larger scope.

The temple vibrates with the sound of the vedic chants and brings peace to anyone entering it. The temple was visited by many Vedic scholars and swamijis. Brahma Shri Samavedam Shanmukha Sarma discourses were a big blessing for our temple.

We are so fortunate to have so many Homas performed during COVID times; the very powerful Varahi, Narasim ha, Sundara Kanda and Chandi Homams. The Varahi Navratri, Ganesha Navaratri and Devi Navaratri were celebrated grandly according to sastras with a lot of commendable support from Volunteers from local and Bay area devotees.

The biggest challenge we are working on currently is to get a permanent place for our temple. We have been looking for several spaces around the Grant Line Rd Area. The biggest issue we run into is acquiring a land which has proper zoning and also loans and cash for down payment. We would to request you to be part of this project by donating for the Permanent Temple or speci c diety and/or by providing interest free loans to be repaid in 5-10 years.

I would recommend everyone to come forward and build our own temple in the Mountain House/Tracy area. This is our responsibility for our future generations. Our world needs a Dharmic way of life and we need to safeguard and promote Santhana Dharma.

(Dharmo Rakshati Rakshitah)

"Dharma protects those who uphold or protect dharma".

All progress is made possible by the blessing of Venkateshwara Sarma Guruvu garu and dedicated Priest Raja Shekara Sarma and all Volunteers.

Jai Gurudev!!!

Best Wishes from SVVP temple President.
